Tottenham Hotspur were elected into the Football League Second Division in 1908-09 season and were promoted to First Division immediately after being runners-up.

Tottenham Hotspur won the FA Cup eight times, the Football League two times, the Football League Cup four times, the UEFA Cup two times and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup one time. Broxbourne Ladies startedusing the Tottenham Hotspur name for the 1991-1992 seasons and played in the South-East & London Regional Women's League. Tottenham's ladies won promotion after topping the league in 2007-08, and currently play in the South East Combination Women's Football League.

On 12 November 2010 the Olympic Park Legacy Company (OPLC) announced that the Tottenham Hotspur had been shortlisted as one of the two preferred bidders to take over the Olympic Stadium after the 2012 Olympics. Tottenham Hotspur were placed 5th in 2010-2011 Premier League.
